Welcome to PaperVerse. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us while playing our classic classroom games.

1. What Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide a seamless multiplayer gaming experience. The data we collect includes:

  • Account Information: Your username, email address, and profile picture (if provided via authentication).
  • Game Data: Win/loss records, match histories, game scores, and achievements.
  • Device Information: Basic browser information and device type to optimize the game interface.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used strictly to enhance your PaperVerse experience:

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To save your match history and compute leaderboard statistics.
  • To facilitate real-time multiplayer synchronization via Supabase.
  • To remember your preferences and settings.

3. Authentication

We use Supabase Authentication to manage user sign-ups and logins securely. We do not store your passwords in plain text. If you sign in using a third-party provider (like Google or GitHub), we only access the basic profile information permitted by that provider.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

PaperVerse utilizes browser Local Storage and minimal cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your local preferences (like dark mode or sound settings) across sessions. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

5. Analytics

We use basic, privacy-focused analytics to understand which games are popular and to identify bugs or performance issues. This data is aggregated and anonymized; it cannot be used to personally identify you.

6. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your PaperVerse account and its data at any time:

  1. Sign in and open Profile.
  2. Under Account, tap Delete account, then Delete forever.

This immediately and permanently deletes your sign-in, email address, player name, avatar, win/loss stats and reaction stats. Moves you made in past game rooms stay attached to those rooms but are no longer linked to your account. If you can’t sign in, email us from your account’s address at the contact below and we will delete it within 30 days.
